Public Records Requests

For a court record, use the New Mexico Courts IPRA request form. Name the court location, department, case number if known, date, and precise record requested. A request can seek a warrant, complaint, docket event, service return, cancellation order, bond record, or removal notation. Court IPRA is not automatically the route for sheriff or police records.

New Mexico IPRA is NMSA 1978 Sections 14-2-1 through 14-2-12. Rule 1-079 NMRA governs access to court records and limits protected and sealed material.
