Why This Reference Exists
Colfax County records are spread across the Eighth Judicial District Court, Raton and Springer Magistrate Courts, five municipal courts, the Colfax County Sheriff, and other agencies. The office that is easiest to reach is not always the office that holds the criminal warrant file. This reference organizes the public routes so a reader can start with the court named on a citation or case.
New Mexico Courts Case Lookup is a public case lead. The issuing clerk confirms status. The sheriff can provide operational routing. New Mexico’s Inspection of Public Records Act and Rule 1-079 NMRA provide access rules with limits for sealed, juvenile, protected, and confidential records.
What the Site Covers
Pages describe how to check a warrant, how active and bench warrants work, what arrest and traffic records contain, how municipal courts fit the county system, and why a most-wanted roster should not be copied. City pages cover Raton, Angel Fire, Springer, Cimarron, and Eagle Nest from their own official profiles.
Each route keeps court records separate from sheriff records, county administrative records, motor-vehicle records, and federal records. Federal questions belong with PACER, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico, or the U.S. Marshals District of New Mexico.
What Cannot Be Confirmed Here
This is a private reference site. It is not the court, sheriff, police department, MVD, or a government records office. It cannot confirm a live warrant, cancel a warrant, accept bond, arrange surrender, or provide legal advice. Only the issuing court and the relevant agency can confirm current status.
No official Colfax countywide active-warrant roster, most-wanted list, roundup calendar, or current surrender schedule was located in the research. That gap is reported rather than filled with a private list.
- Do not treat a no-result screen as universal clearance.
- Do not publish private identifiers or private-person photographs.
- Do not rely on a payment receipt without court confirmation.
- Call before traveling, especially for the conflicting Springer magistrate addresses.

Some finder bands may be supplied by outside providers. Their results, prices, data practices, and terms are separate from official court or sheriff records. A sponsored result is not a government warrant confirmation. Use the issuing court for status and New Mexico IPRA for an existing public record.
Official sources used for the local routes include the Eighth Judicial District, Colfax Sheriff, New Mexico municipal courts, and New Mexico Courts IPRA.
